The Cycle…

When you reply to a “negative” or “off setting post” you are now a participant in that cycle. This is one of the things that has gotten vgamin the “immature members” wrap and no one wants it to continue. So, starting immediately not only will the person who initiated the cycle suffer the consequences but so will everyone else who participates.

A lot of you need to learn to keep certain comments to yourselves, learn to read a post and make sure the person actually asked for you opinion, and most important you need to learn to use the PM function. So many of these situations could have been avoided if the PM function had been used.

We respect all of you as members of this community, now learn to respect each other.

Just to let you know Kishin was banned since it was really just JMCAY/King of The Web under a different account.

I am not JMCAY or KIng, Check my IP it traces back Rogers and Kings goes to Comcast(I think).

I really hope this helps, because it gets annoying reading a good topic, then it all goes down hill from someone flaming, then everyone flaming him. It's funny though... people are doing in this thread exactly what was said not to do, but oh well I guess. I think Mike and Luke have done a good job at keeping things pretty smooth, as good as they can do though, without banning every single person that slips up. Keep up the good work Mike.

Could you consider adding an alert button so that we can alert moderators of bad posters?

The mods here are incredibly slow at finding these bad posts. Should I individually have to PM every mod and admin every time I see a poor post that the moderators have just passed up?

I assume that the new rule to not take any crap hasn't faded with time? The site seemed to do well because of it but the past few days I have seen the old vgamin creeping back. If you are not gonna actually take any action then the threats are meaningless and the users given time will figure this out.

If you need assistance installing a few excellent phpbb mods to get this site up to par LMK. I can install any phpbb mod.

Mike, Eric is part of the phpBB Mod team. He probably knows of something that'll work, or if they're multiple choices he can suggest the best one.

I would recommend this one. If you need help installing LMK. I do not think you have any mods so if you want I can take a fresh 2.0.13 and set it up then email you the files.

Also please consider a quick reply. It takes 2 minutes to install and it makes life so much easier. If you want these forums to really pick up I can help you with a few mods. The blanket install of phpbb is rather plain. Also did you know that I am still on the original phpbb template subSilver? In the config you can set the users and force to your designated template. I am not sure but I would think that many users don't see you have a second custom template. I didn't notice it for quite some time.

I've just about finished a Report Post MOD that you may want to look at. Just have one more tiny thing I want to add real quick. Should be released today.
